Question about 1995 Pontiac Grand Am
Other times it will die and not start again. After several tries it will start again. Sometimes it takes a half hour or more. I thought it was the fuel filter and it's rusted on so we haven't changed it. When we tried to take the fuel filter off it gushed some gas out and had rust in it. It ran fine for 3 or 4 days. Then it started again. I can tell when it's closer to starting because it makes different noises right before it's going to start. Today I wiggled the plug wires and it started making the different noises. When I actually pushed the plug wires down then it started. Have had different opinions of what was going on including coil case and ignition module. It also feels like there's no gas going through when it dies. Anyone else had this problem?? Any suggestions?? Oh, it's a 95 Grand Am 3.1 liter V-6 engine.
The fuel filter might be clogged again. Fuel pump is starting to fail, also your tank might need to be taken down and cleaned it might have water inside and debris.
