Easy test for fuel pump. Remove fuel cap at filler neck, have an assistant turn the ignition on but not start the engine, the pump should run for 2 seconds then go off (you should be able to hear the pump). if this happens, the pump is probably fine. also check fuel pressure and flow rate at Fuel Rail, however..

Verify that you have spark at the spark plugs first. If the ignition system is not functioning, (such as an ignition module failure) the injectors will not fire and the engine will not get fuel, even tho the fuel pump is working as it should.

Yes, it's more than likely your fuel pump.

2008 chevy tahoe delayed start

The list of possible causes is long.
You'll have to figure out if it is fuel or ignition related to proceed.
I would check fuel pressure and spark first.
If you can't duplicate the symptom it may be tough to diagnose.

1998 chevy tahoe 4x4 wont start. not getting fuel to throttle body. its not a fuel pump relay i tried it. it will start if i pour gas in the throttle body

fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. When you turn the key do you hear fuel pump run? If not odds are the pump is bad.

Is there a huel reset on 2001 chevy tahoe

Sorry there is no fuel pump reset on the Tahoe. If you have no fuel pressure, check the fuses and relay, and wire harness to the fuel pump from the inside frame rail on the drivers side. If you can hear the fuel pump working, check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve and there should be 60 to 66 PSI, if you don't you can try checking for 12 volt at the fuel pump wire harness at the frame rail. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

I have a 2001 chevy tahoe wont start

could be as simple as a dirty fuel filter. or maybe the fuel pump has died..i will go with the fuel filter since you were able to get it started again.. also when replacing your fuel filter you should go ahead and get new plugs and wires.. a small tune up wouldnt hurt and would only set you back 100.00 dollers maybe.. hope this helps
