Corsa 1.4 enjin swings but dont give spark towards enjin. changed the fuel relay

Put the old one back and try again. If faulty, fit an OEM part not a fleabay/amaxon part. They don't work!

I have a opel corsa lite 1.4. It has a starting problem when hot. Plug 1 and 4 seem to be wet with petrol. I changed plugs and feul pressure regulator problem persists

When you first start the engine on these computer-bound vehicles nowadays, the computer automatically puts the engine into "cold start" mode. If the temperature sending unit/sensor is not telling the computer to turn off cold start mode, the engine is being flooded with gasoline. This is why your plugs are wet and won't fire. Change said sending unit and all will be well.

Why and what must I do. Spark plugs are wet of petrol. Mechanics take me for a ride every time.

Could be many things, but start with the basics. Use fuel pressure test gauge to check for leak down after shutting engine off. Could be leaky injectors. Could also be weak spark preventing fuel from complete burn--bad coil or ignition module. More likely bad coolant temp sensor making ECU think engine is still cold after it is warmed up. Another possibility is clogged exhaust.

Opel corsa 1.4i heavy on fuel and producing rich black smoke

You must have a fault code test run first, that is the start point on all modern systems of engine control.

1988 volvo 740 gle long time at garage cannot start lot of part been change e.g distributor.coil.fuel pump.filter.service air flow and devider but still cannot run the engine

hi, you need to take the spark plags out and clean them. the air filter must be taken off and pour an egg cup full of petrol into the carburetter, this is very important not to put too much as this will WET the spark plug and you will need to press the thottle full bore while turning the engine over. try this to test if fuel, spark plugs, points / electronic ignition, ignition, firing order (leads the wrong way around), mechanical parts, all other wiring correct, gerry

Will not start. Been sitting since 1980.

hi, the cylinders are dry of petrol fumes and you need a (good battery), if all the mehanical parts (working fuel pump and clean fuel filter) o.k. and the spark plugs are clean and the (spark plug timming leads) are correct and points are set and the (ignition coil) is o.k. this engine should start. (if not) take off the air filter and check it is clean, leve the air filter off and put a very small amount (egg cup full) of clean petrol into port the carberreter (it will not start straight away because the plugs may be wet) or wrong (timming leads) if it splutters problebly not enough petrol or ignition faults (electrical points contacts dirty) all cars need metered fuel and air to run. wish you luck gerry

My Porsche won't start. I've changed all 12 spark plugs (it has twin plug heads), and am getting plenty of fuel into the cylinders (plugs came out wet), but still can't get it to fire. It has a Haltech ECU...

Pull one plug out of one cylinder, and place the top of the spark plug on the body of the car(grounded). Start(or have someone turn the car over) and hold the plug to a grounded spot. If the plug sparks it is not an electrical problem. Also, if the plugs are coming out wet, your flooding the engine making start even harder. Also make sure the plugs are gapped to manufacturer's spec.
