SOURCE: Replacing side view mirror, pulling off side door panel.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge

The left rear window went down I can not get it back up

This is not an easy thing to repair. You need to open the door, get a special tool to take out the door panel, If you don't use the right tools you run the risk of ruining the fasteners on the panel. The panel is a composite material like cardboard and can tear. When you have this removed, there is a sheet of material that is a sound deadener and dust seal that has a gooey black tar on it and it has to be removed. Then you can see into the door space to get to the window track and motor. There are sharp parts in this and you can get cuts etc. You can raise the window and wire it shut or you can remove the frame, tracks, glass and motor to replace the motor and spool. The system is cable driven and they break or become misfed.

How do I put the driver side window back on track? its a manual window

You will have to remove the inner door panel to find out what caused the window to fall out of the track. You may find the tracks are misaligned (not parallel) or one or more track mounting points have become loose.

1999 ford explorer power window only goes down about an inch and stops but it will go back up. What is the most likely cause of this?

The window scissor track probably just needs to be cleaned and lubricated. The motor automatically shuts off if the current gets to high. This is usually caused by a sticky track.

The driver's side window has become "detached", is

I would say your window is off track. You will need to remove the panel to get to it. The screws to the panel are probably in the corners. Take the panel off, should just be 4-5 screws. You will have to remove any plastic and foam inside the door to get to the window. Once removed, you should have access to the window track. If you have a question, let me know. I am here to help. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Window fell down driver side on a 2004 dodge dakota so whats the problem

Something caused the window to come out of the track. Some times it can be caused by something hitting the window, sometimes hitting a big pothole.

If you're a little bit handy, you should be able to remove the door panel to access the window and put it back on the track.

I hope this helps.

My passenger side window doesn't roll up and it slides down into the door

Before the failure, did it make any knocking or griding noises? When you operate the button does the motor make it's normal noise? Did the window become loose and fall down inside the door abruptly? Some vehicles have issues with the "window regulator". This is the cabling device that hoists and lowers the window on the inside rail. Some automakers use plastic bits to keep the window on the rail. If those become loose or break, the window will fall off the tracks. Continued operation of the window will cause the regulator (cables, gear or motor) to fail. If you want to attempt a DIY fix, remove the door cover (a mechanic will usually call this a door card) and see if the window is off the rails. Good luck.

Driver's window squeaks when it gets cold outside.

I finally got sick and tred of my driver's window today. I removed the door panel and water shield and inspected and tested. Although the noise we are all experiencing seems to be coming from the glass track, if you feel the center guide that the glass follows, you should find the noise is coming from this guide. I could feel the vibration. There is not much room for adjustment but there was sufficient room to move the glass on the guide bracket and relieve the binding. Mine is smooth and quiet for the first time since I bought it. A relatively easy fix. no sprays, no lubricant just eliminate the binding.
