SOURCE: 2006 Mercury Mariner V6 4WD. Sporadic stalling when stopping

One of the most common causes of stalling like that but not showing any fault codes on many types of vehicles is the IAC valve, or IAC motor. (same thing) It's mounted on the side of the throttle body near front opening and it controls engine idle under load conditions such as applying brakes, turning wheel, AC on, basically anything you use in vehicle that puts any load on the engine, which will make RPM's drop at idle, that valve, steps it up to where it should be to eliminate that. I'd remove it, get a can of throttle body spray cleaner, and clean pintle (pointed part) and the port (hole) it came out of real good, then re-install it & see if problem goes away. If it goes away, then returns before too long, replace it with a new one.

When I bought my 2007 Merc Mariner it read faulty tire sensor. Does this have something to do with the and ab.s. light and 4wd?

faulty tire sensor is your tire pressure sensor --not tied to abs or 4wd --have vehicle scanned for trouble codes

My "Service 4wd system" light keeps coming on in my 2005 Mercury Mariner. I have no 4wd. local service center said it was a sensor in the 4wd system but cannot replace it?

Find out what else this sensor feeds in your Mariner. It could be used for ABS or traction control (if equipped).

A little online research would help determine what this sensor was also used for. Sounds like Mercury cut one dash panel for all vehicles so that is what you have.

Look in the manual for the definition of this light. If that is not an option, look online. My "guess" is that they used the light for something else related to a chassis fault. If you live up north in the snow look for corrosion at the plug. It may have been smashed or had the wiring damaged if you hit something or it was hanging down too low. Salt and water could be shorting it out as well. A missing water proof piece is usually the culprit.

2005 mercury mariner vibrates a lot when driving up to 20 mph, then it's all smooth. I installed 4 new tires, did front end alignment and rear, did tire rotation and balance, now it is showing ABS

The vibration at low speeds can be due to possible fault in wheel bearings, drive shaft or even with a faulty steering system. You need to hoist up the car and check on all the individual wheels, hubs and also check for the ABS line to the wheel hubs which could have failed or there is a sensor failure on the wheel hub.
