Question about 2003 Hyundai Accent

2 Answers

2003 hyundai accent - problem with the wipers. They operate very slowly/hesitantly when put on, get up to speed when exposed to rain. I have replaced the motor and the problem exists. When on intermittent, it sometimes acts as if it is getting an incorrect signal (three wipes, then rest). Is there a control module for this assembly that can be replaced?

Check for binding linkages and pivots.try lubricating them with WD-40.ALSO CHECK THE GROUND WIRE GOING TO WIPER MOTOR.IF RUSTED OR CORRODED.IT WILL CAUSE SLOW WIPER OPERATION.

2000 HYUNDAI ACCENT, problem is the Windshield Wiper operation is malfunctioning, in the Delay mode, and in the off position, Windshield Wiper arms/blades stop at the half point on the Windshield glas

The park position is controlled inside the motor/actuator assembly. Not sure if it can be repaired. See if it is assembled with screws versus rivets. A new assembly is less than $100.

The hatchback Accent has two windshield wipers--one on the front and one on the hatchback so the pump can run to pump fluid to them each separately. You need a specific pump for that. I've written up a step-by-step tutorial on how to replace the pump and have a link for the correct part at my website: Replace Windshield Washer Pump on 1999 2005 Hyundai Accent Share Your...

In delay cycle wiper hesitates

Hi,
The hesitation of the wipers in delay cycle is normal. You can twist the nob on the end of the arm to speed up or slow down the hesitation.
If you are driving in a light mist and the wipers ran at normal speed most of the time the would be wiping a dry windshield. Chattering and bouncing. With the delay set at the right speed the wipers only go on every so often, No dry chattering. In a full rain just twist the knob past the delay cycle to get low or high speed from the wipers.
Hope this helped you.
