Question about Volvo S70

I have a 98 S70 that will not start. No power to clock/dash, no clicking, no turn over. Any ideas?

there is a fuse under the dash for acc. if that one is fine there is another that says radio those would be the best to check first. if not them it might be the constant power wire to the equipment

does this model have an ETS on it? Electronic throttle system. I could need a new throttle body. Sometimes the software goes bad and it will give the symptoms you described.

If it's an analog clock, pull out on the stalk closest to it (the small one protruding from the cluster), and then turn it to the right - that will advance the clock.

I have a 98 S70 turbo ~171000 mi. car will start


THE FIRST THING IS TO CHECK FIEL PUMP PRESSURE AND FILTHER AND THE RELAY IT IS IN FUSE BOX WITH A J and it is black and if it gets too hot engine will shut down and you will have to wait until relay cools 850,s and S70 models have this problem especially in th A/C CIRCUIT

Volvo S70 won't start - battery, generator, or other


usually multiple clicking (like a machine gun) does indicate lw battery voltage. did you get 11.9 volts with it running or car off? with running you should be over 13.6 min up to 14.0 volts. these cars have a fair amount of electronics with some residual voltage draws which may shorten battery life. 4 yrs is not too bad. i would consider replacing battery
