i have a 98 camaro and around 75,000 miles i had the same problem and i had to change the spark plugs, wires, and a couple of coils. i had to change the coils for the 1 2 4 6 cylinder. the coil is cheap go to autozone plug your car into the computer to find what code is getting thrown out and find what cylinder is misfireing and change the coil. 2 bolts and your done

Follow the radiator hose from the radiator to the engine. Where it connects is the T stat housing. 2 bolts. Remove them pull the housing off. Remove the T stat. clean the surfaces of the housing and engine. Put the long end down into the engine. put the seal on the T stat first or gasket on after the T stat is placed in, If you get both, use the seal only. Tighten down the bolts. I do snug, then another 1/4 turn. Plenty tight. 17 foot pounds of pressure I believe is good. Fill the reservoir, start the engine and purge the air, after the T stat has opened. Takes ten minutes or so at idle..
