Dunno about that, another guy had his diagnostics gadget plugged in but failed to find the hassle. Right now it's easier just to keep the little Bluetooth OBD tool plugged in whenever I want to go someplace then unplug it when I get home

OBD11 tool and everything works fine ??? That'sjust for the engine computer ! Need a professional type scan tool to view instrument cluster data . The instrument cluster has a microprocessor inside an can set DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , separate from OBD2 . A bad cluster could bring down the Serial data network causing all kind of problems . Do you know what a data network is ? Your ford has SCP network .

Posting a photo, when I disconnect the left hand main fuses at.the battery the warning lights work normally, but still no starter or spark n fuel

Check your connections on the battery and the ground straps to engine to frame and frame to body.

the firing order is 1342 1 is at the lh has you look from under bonnet the ignition coil is on the right bolted on cyl head or block area its a waisted spark system so 1and3 are powered from one half of the coil 2and4 other side the coil may have no,s on them but in short 1 are opposite as are 2and4 so try in that order 1st if not swap around in pairs

Car will not start when ignition key is turned. All warning lamps light up, enginee doesn't even try to start even with the clutch depressed

1. So the car was running normally and then on one occasion you put in the key to start it and all the warning lights flash up on the dash and the starter motor will not turn the engine over. Is that correct.

2. When you last drove the car were any warning lights appearing on the dash.such as check engine warning, engine overheating, electrical charging warnings etc.\

3. Has any work been carried out on the car recently.

4. How old is the battery in the car.

Have an escort si 1996,the sidelights,rear lights,front and rear fog lights.normal beam is ok and the brake lights.could this be a relay or the stalk as i have checked the bulbs and fuses.

do you not have High beams? or are they dim? If dim sounds like alternator. If no high beams then steering column light switch bad.

Airbag/seatbelt warning light staying on in my 54 reg. ford focus zetec tdci. when i switch on the light comes on as normal. it then goes off then it flashes 4 times, pauses then flashes twice.

1998 escort zx2 dome light stays on when switch is set for door; all other indicators, chime for key in ignition etc seem OK. Light works normally in switch on and off positions.

It should stay on for about 30 seconds and go off. Otherwise, the car is 11 years old, so find a switch position which does not drain the battery.

Yes it is the starter motor, remove it and check, you probabley will have to replace the starter Bendix.
