SOURCE: How do i access the bulb behind the climate

There is one bulb (for all three knobs) behind the center knob. Turn the knob to the straight up and down 12 o'clock position and pull the knob straight out. Wrap a soft cloth around the jaws of a pliers, that works the best. Pull the bulb out with a needle nose wrapped with a rubber band. The bulb is a sylvania 2721, available at most auto parts stores. You can also use a small piece of vacuum tubing to pull the bulb out. (pull straight out, don't twist it)

SOURCE: 2006 honda crv. Getting access to the climate

There are plastic dash that match the dash panel. You can pry the off. All the trim itself pries right off and can be done by prying gently.

You can go to autozone, com and register for a free account. Then login and choose your vehicle year, make, model, and then click on view repair manual. This will give you a repair manual for your vehicle.

How to remove 2016 Chevy Express overhead climate control panel?

The rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control replacement procedure starts with removing the HVAC control assembly bezel (trim) from the headliner. Next, the headliner must be lowered in order to access the rear of the HVAC control assembly. This requires removal of the windshield garnish molding (A-pillar trim) and upper pillar garnish molding (B-pillar trim) at a minimum. You may be able to gain the necessary access by allowing the headliner to "hang" slightly rather than removing it entirely. After this is done, the electrical connectors can be disconnected and the HVAC control assembly can be removed from the headliner. My middle dashboard that controls the radio a/c fans is not working I put new fuse in still nothing but the radio works when I use controls on steering wheel I have a Ve omega commodore

What year is your vehicle? It could be a control cluster, or "brain" as it is often called, which is directly behind the AC?Heater control knob. This would require removing much of your dashboard which is NOT a enjoyable experience! Peace. God bless.

How do I gain access to lights behind the temperature control knobs/sliders on my 2004 GMC Envoy?

Some of those are not serviceable and you have to replace the control head. Call a parts department at a GMC dealer and ask them if the bulbs are servicable or not and that will tell you whether or not to go any further.

How do you remove the radio out of a honda civic

good day Sir, In order to gain access to the rear of the stereo for either connection to, or replacement of the factory unit, you must first remove the panel surrounding the (manual) gear stick. This should not be attempted with any form of 'level' to avoid damage to the dash finish. To remove the surround simply press fingers into the gear gaiter to gain purchase behind the panel and firmly 'pull' the panel toward you to disengage from the clips that hold it in place. The main panel above requires removal which involves location and loosening (not necessarily removal) of two hex headed screws approximately 6 inches (150mm) down from the head unit behind the panel, which screw the vertical metal plates holding the panel to the under dash mountings. To gain access to the screws push the two stops on the glove box inwards to allow the glove box to swing downwards. On the other side remove the small panel under the steering column Once loosened, the entire stereo/ heater control panel may be pulled toward you to disengage the clips that hold it in position. Reassembly is the reverse of removal, ensuring that the screw slots are properly engaged before final tightening of screws and reinstallation of gear stick surround.i hope this will help you

Heat a/c problem

Hi.

I assume that you are having issues with the heat controller; which is a very common problem. And, it costs over 900 dollars to replace it, when all is wrong with it are 2 broken wires.

Unfortunately, you have to completely remove the heater controller from the dash, and completely disassemble it to gain access to the 2 wires that need soldered, it is impossible to gain access to the wires with the unit in the dash. When you get it apart, look for 2 broken wires at the sub-PC board (from the knob) going to the main PC board. Also, to avoid having these wires break again, make sure that the nut behind the knob is real tight; if it is loose, it allows the board to rotate, and snap the wires.

I would recommend that you reserve a day for this project.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for your solution.

How to change a instrument panels lightbulb ?

Unfortunately you must remove the cluster to gain access to these bulbs. Remove radio, heater fan knobs, temp slider knobs, and temp control faceplate (carefully remove bulb in faceplate), then remove the Phillips screws inside the holes where these came out that hold the cluster . unscrew or unclip and remove the speedo cable from the back of the cluster. you may have to disconnect some electrical jacks (remember where and how they go back in!) to gain complete access. Then it's just a matter of pulling out the little bulbs and replacing them. Because this is so involved I would replace ALL of them at once. Hope this helps...;-)

Replace lighting behind the heater controls

Yeah , something would have broke for real had you pried it any more.
There is a bulb just below the control panel that lights the panel up... and more screws to remove to access it. The ones behind the knobs need to be replaced ( they hold the switches to the face plate), and you need to unscrew the ones behind the trim and above the ash tray.
The trim comes off in one piece (held by clips).

No lights on heater/fan panel.

Yes, there is illumination behind the heater control panel.

You need to remove the center inst cluster upper (radio) & lower finish (heater) panels to gain access to the heater control; the light socket is behind the heater panel.
