first loosen your altenator and take that belt off over the fan then the skid plate off the bottom and there is a tensioner pulley there for your a/c belt then your p/s belt loosens from the power steering pump pulley just turn the bolt counter clockwise and itll come off thats how my 99 works

The crankshaft pos. sensor is located on the left "driver" side of the engine on the bellhousing and is retained by a single 10mm bolt.The sensor may be tight,be sure to twist as you pull so that it doesnt break off in the bottom end.

My scanner isnt working, so i hope this can help you out some...On the left Camshaft..you will a stamp I and E...iI is for intake and E is for exhaust..The I should be up at 12 o'clock and the E should be at 4..you will also have marks on the timing plate behind the camshafts to help you line it up right...Now on the Right Camshaft you will have the same marks, but this time you want the E at 12 and the I at 7 o'clock..And the crankshaft should have a little notch on it, where you can line that up at 12 o'clock with the notch imprint that is on the plate for you..You may have to clean those areas, and use a light, so you can see them..I hope this helps you out..Goodluck...

remove the intake manifold ,remove radiator ,remove radiator intake and outake housing, remove fan ,remove all belts: power steering, alternator and if you have a/c, remove harmonic balancer ,remove timing belt covers, remove timing belt remove intake housinng once you have remove all the above, your freaken engine will look naked, you can see the location of the knock sensor is locate in the engine valley u might wanna google knock sensor so u knoe what it looks like

the knock sensor should be on the passenger side of the motor a short distance from the oil filter on a stand off on the block. can be tricky to get to but you loose no coolant changing it
