Question about 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
You may have a trans with out a drain pulg. Get an foil turkey pan from the local grocer. Take out all the bolts but the 4 in the corners. The 2 at the front closest to the engine take loose about half way. Take out the other 2 one at the time. The fluid should start to run out in a over flow into your pan. Then remove the other bolt as the fluid slows down.

There no tranny drain plug, you must drop the pan to change the fluid and filter. Standard fluid is fne. I believe Dextron3 but double check with the autoparts store (tell them you have a volvo) and they can lookup the correct type of ATF.
