We have a olds bravado and it went into antilock mode can not get out of it and the car wont start

Does it have spark at all ?

starter wont put you in limp mode --need to have the vehicle scanned for trouble code --

the anti theft is enabled some lock cylindes have 2 orange wires on them if broken car does not start.

check eng. lite?intake hose no cracks and installed correctly and tight to throttle body. a must check fuel pressure regulator,can pull vac line while running will leak fuel,replace.exaust restriction?

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

When you say that you "mash" the brakes, do you mean that you are pressing ******* the brake pedal? If this is the case, you may be forcing the brakes to go into "Antilock Mode"...this is a NORMAL condition. Otherwise, it could be going into "overactive antilock mode" if you are pressing the pedal normally. This condition is usually caused by malfunctioning wheel speed sensors. You must scan your antilock control module to verify this.

You brakes will act just like old fassion ones you can skid to a stop. You my not stop as quick unless you know how to drive w/o antilock. Have your ABS wheel sensors checked

check vacuum at the power brake booster -also test booster internal diaphragm may be damaged -if both good check and test abs module

Sounds like the ECM (Electronic control module), sure it's the right one for that car?

sounds like not enough freon or orfas valve is clogged. but most likely it is low on freon
