SOURCE: Engine has miss-fire

First check spark plugs/wires/distributor cap (tune up). Also would be good idea to use fuel injector cleane and change fuel filter and O2 sensor.
Hope that helps
Good Luck

SOURCE: hi i have a audi tt 3.2 dsg

The problem with your car is that the oil drains back down into the oil pan after sitting. I have this problem at my work where we change oil. After each oil change there is no oil in the motor, it is all in the pan so every single car knocks something fierce when we start it up after adding new oil because it takes awhile to get to where it needs to be.

In your case, probably a seal in the oil pump or the pump itself. Once or twice this is no problem, but if it does it every day you are severely wearing out your engine components without oil flow.

SOURCE: how many miles before an oil change on 2003 audi

DON'T TRUST AUDI MANUALS, MY 2003 A4 PLUGGED OILS LINKS ONLY AFTER 5000 MILES. VW STRETCHED THE MILEAGE OUT TO MAKE A PROFIT AND I REALLY RECOMMEND 4000 INTERVALS, NO LONGER -AT A US EAST COATS TEMP RANGE OF FREEZING TO 10 BELOW TO 15 C - 20 C.

AUDI ENDED UP INCREASING OIL LINE SIZES AND ENLARGING THE OIL FILTER BY 50% AND TELLING ME TO USE THE NEW FILTER FROM THEN ON.

SO LESSON LEARNT, EVEN WITH SYNTHETIC, DO NOT GO BEYOND 4,000 OR BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN -CALLED ENGINE SLUDGING UP

SOURCE: whats the best audi tt to go for

It should help with fuel economy, but then it is a 3.2V6, so not sure if that would be a priority?
I would suggest if possible test driving the manual. Some people just don't get on with D.S.G. It is governed by the computer so thinks it knows better than you, and won't at points let you change gear. Usually if your DRIVING it enthusiastically.
If you've driven D.S.G before and liked it then without a shadow of a doubt go for it.
It is a lot of money for a gear box so do your sums on the fuel savings and resale value.
Hope it helps?

I have a 2002 Audi TT Quattro. Recently my oil warning light started flashing and does not go off. The oil level is fine. Any ideas what could be causing this

Could well be the sensor/sending unit at fault as Dan states.
Could also be the oil has lost some of its viscosity, become thin and not enough pressure for the sensor to work with.
Had a similar problem with a Citroen some years back was advised to drain the oil, flush the engine out with flushing oil (please read the manufacturers instructions closely) fit a new filter and refill. This worked well for me, also cured a smoking problem from the exhaust.

I have a tapping noise from my engine bay on an audi v6 tdi, i think it may be a tappet and have been told it may likely be fixed with an engine flush and service car has only covered 114000mls,the noise...

The cam followers are self adjusting,so an engine flushing agent and new oil (10/40 semi synthetic), should sort out the "tapping" noise,When the engine is hot run at 3500 revs for 30 secs to reset gaps

2004 audi tt 3.2 quattro auto intermittant start-up when cold, like not firing on all cyls.but with engine revving for a few minutes will then run ok.

Hi
If it runs lumpy when you first start it then it will be one of 2 faults, either the air mass sensor also known as the MAF sensor or the EGR "exhaust gas recycler" valve are you getting any engine lights? normally with the EGR you would but no so often with the air mass sensor.

Lastly it could be the 02 or oxygen sensor but check the other 2 first
Regards
Dan

p.s get a daignostic code and I will tell you the exact fault

Tranny slips occasional on up shift. clunks on 4-3-2-1 downshifts

If your TT is quattro it is DSG, if it is FWD then it is Tiptronic.. A battery change usually requires a trip to the dealer to hook up the scan tool and program the TCU for the transmission...
And yes a lower voltage can affect the sensitive electronics in this car..

When your tmming belt went dint that bend the valves.Do a comprestion test firstly. As this is a interferance engine.when the belt snaps the likely of valve to piston contact is very likely. Also change the camshaft sensor.

I have an internittent misfire on my 1999 Audi A3 1.8T. Changed spark plugs and thought that had fixed it but didn't. on tick over, engine is quiet and not lumpy but when I put my foot down in any gear, it...

I have the same car its a 1.8T A3 1999 and had exactly the same issue. Took it to a garage and they replaced the coils.. still had the same problem.. then I had a different issue with the car and realised it had the original battery and this was almost dead. I replaced the battery and now the car is running perfectly again - Im not saying that it definately was due to a dud battery but I reckon it was and suggest you get yours checked out before spending £300 on coils that dont need replacing.
