SOURCE: fuel pump replacement 1999 chevy tahoe
That has alot to do with the price of the pump, i know there expensive. The thing to do is call an auto parts store and ask what the price is for a pump, once you know that, then you can call around to shops in your area and get there price or labor rates, and that will give you an idea what it will cost. I know its alot of calling but its the best way, so you can guard aginst being riped off. It should not take a good michanic more than 2 to 3 hours to chg. one.

SOURCE: How do you reset the
I thought the fuel pump shut off was in case of a collision, the force of impact would trip the switch, then it had to be manually reset to get it to start. Thats only on Fords.
In the Tahoe you have fuses in underhood fuse block in the engine compartment on the driver's side of the vehicle near the battery. Lift the cover for access to the fuse/relay block. To remove fuses, hold the end of the fuse between your thumb and index finger and pull straight out...
Additional details could find in the Owners Manua.
Hope helps.
