Thud noise / jolt when transmission.......

There is a noticeable thud noise and slight jolt when pressing accelerator after coasting, when auto transmission is changing gears (low gears), and/or when accelerating from a complete stop. Should I get the transmission inspected?

Yes, I would get the transmission checked it sounds like it maybe getting ready to go out. Take the dipstick out & smell the fluid to see if it smells burnt...Hope this helps..

Clunking/ticking noise during acceleration in 3rd and 4th gears

This sounds on the base of it to be pre ignition, if so the moment you take the foot off the gas it goes? The cure is to retard the ignition timing slightly, have you recently changed your octane of fuel? this will also cause this?
The noise is caused by the expansion of the compressed gases expanding before the piston reaches top dead centre causing the piston to \'rattle\' left unchecked will cause permanent damage and engine failure

I own a 2007 Hummer H3 and there is a noticeable thud noise and slight jolt when pressing accelerator after coasting and when accelerating from a complete stop.

this sound like either the fans or fan is not coming on or not performing like it should, or coolant system is clogged or low on coolant. if you have electric fans turn the a/c on are they both on ? if you have a clutch fan attached to the motor when the a/c on and engine at operating temp put your hand over engine is the fan realy pushing air out? if not its bad . you can check the temp of each side of the radiator to see if the is a difference this will tell you if their is a clogg. so check fans and check coolant system for a leak , for proper circulation , when was the last time you had the coolant system flushed ? and gm uses a different coolant then other makes if someone put regular green in with the dexcool it will become corrosive and can eat blades on water pump not allowing it to function like it should pumping coolant andit will clogg the system.

Thud jolt with light acceleration

Hi, I have the same case here as it sound while you accelarate from low to high speed or release the accelator immediately to reduce the speed it gives thud sound specially in cold start. I had checked with Agency and they said it is normal in LC and I was not satisfied with the answer, so I had taken a second openion with another best workshop in th country ( I am in Gulf Region Dubai ) and got the same answer, then I had discussion with other people also and got the same answer, but I still dont believe as a performance car should not give any sound and I have good technical knowledge in cars so I check very carefully by lifting the car and simulating the scenario and my observation is that there is no issue with the gearbox basically it is a jolt from 4wheel case whcih is attached to side of the gearbox and shafts are connected to it.

2006 Chevy Trailblazer makes THUD when accelerating

Check your coolant level, low coolant or air in your cooling system will make a "thud"noise in your heater core when the engine is under load from acceleration. The coolant rushes in to the heater core where the air pocket is trapped and then your hear the noise.
Start with the simple and make sure your coolant level is correct and then try to purge the system to remove the air out for your coolant system.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

Most likely coming from motor mounts or transmission mounts. You should have these checked right away to avoid and consequential damage.

Have a 95 Bronco--LOUD thud noise when I use the brakes

how long has it been since the breaks themselves were replaced?
what it seems like is there is either a break locking problem, or possibly the axle could be damaged.
not much but my suggestion would be to take it to get a diagnostics check on the full brono and see if an auto shop themselves can figure it out.
