you have to take off the speedometer cable/wiring harness from the top of the trans and fill it from there....one 10mm bolt...very awkward spot...it might be snug, so just take a flat head screwdriver from underneath to tap it loose...

Replace O2 sensor. Iif it smells rich then you are getting too much fuel. You may have a
problem with the fuel pressure regulator or a leaking fuel injector.
This can also be caused by bad oxygen sensors.
Hops helps (remember to rate this answer).
SOURCE: code P0171 light on when the car kia rio 2004
P0171 is the code for "Fuel System Too Lean." Which means that there is too much air (and too little fuel) in the combustion chamber.
There are quite a few things that could cause this code:
- Faulty fuel delivery system (fuel pump)
- Clogged fuel injectors ($3 fuel injector cleaner might clear it up)
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Leak in intake or exhaust system
- Faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor
- Faulty Throttle Position Sensor
