Noise coming from engine and getting worse

So I read a couple of things on here about kinda the same thing.. It sounds alot like another problem on here but with mine the noise now does not stop once the car is warmed up.. It doesn't seem that the A/C does anything .. And I never had opened my oil cap but someone suggested that in a past inquiry and when i did it was shooting small amounts of oil out the opening? ANy suggestions

It sounds to me that the engine, has not been 'Run In', as per the relevant values of the manufacturers handbook.
When the engine is running, it creates pressure, there is the oil pressure, which is the inertia of the pistons moving up & down, and thus the explosions in the cylinders, which also creates pressure. (Not to mention a turbo!)
Then you have your fuel pressure.
Which if not sufficient, will stop the car from running, due to,,
Lack, of pressure.
Then you have your cooling system, which, if a good system, should hold up to 12 bar.
So, I hope this put's you in the picture, on the matter of pressure.
Bon chance!)

Hello i have a couple of questions. Question #1 my truck has 312,332 miles on it and ive been told that the vortec 5.7 requires synthetic but with that many miles and synthetic never being used will it...

Do not use synthetic oil in a motor with that many miles, it will start leaking very bad. Use oil that indicates high mileage type, it has seal conditioners in it. Also, do not use seafo either, it too will cause isues in an old motor. Try to change nothing, again, use an oil that's intended for high mileage motors.

and noise. we cant hear noise here. and is very important
for the mech. to hear. he can tell by that sound of said noise
now dangerous it is, to you or engine. I never operate any machines with bad noises..... they tend to get worse and can cascade ($$$)
1st see if you can make the noise parked.
get a A/T tranny? use it to load the engine parked'
ever read the FSM on tranny testing and the Load stall tests.
this simple 5 second test allows you to load up any A/T car
and might cause the sound to happen
parked, in gear, wheels chocked and raising the throttle.
(RTM, read the FSM its there and see the safety methods)

Use 2 persons to do this for safety
one drives
other listens, and with a stethoscope and a rubber hose to his ear. 2nd person finds exact source of noise.
the FSM has a whole chapter just on noise. its chapter 0 i mine.
its zero because its #1 important. not to ignore noise.

here is a noise page. generic. like.

My 98 dodge neon's speedometer started jumping up and down while driving, then the air bag light came on and stays on, next the car started making a puttering noise and sounds kinda muffled when shifting...

Hi. Look like your charging system is down. Check battery first, alternator fuses relay responsible for charging. Your battery doesn't have or hold voltage and air bags are first in the system as good indication of power lose unless is actual air bag fault

Strange noises under hood...

this is one of those things that can drive an auto mechanic nuts. probably start with two people if the noise only happens with the hood shut it could be even these cases it may be worth it to talk to a dealer.maybe this is a somewhat comman problem.if it makes the noise with soom regularity with the hood open, have someone try to get a better feel for where the noice is coming from.these are not simple to find=effort.

04 cavalier makes grinding noise in front end turn the wheel to the right grinding gets worse turn the wheel to the left grinding stops. it sounds worse at 40mph and above. what would cause this?

3 things to check:
Worn disc brake pads, grinding against the rotor.
Wheel bearing
cv joint.
You posted grinding gets worse turning to the right, the problem is the driver side wheel, but it would be best to have both wheeles checked.

Noise from drivers side

hi how are you.there is a couple of things that will cause a rubbing sound.if it is a high pich sound then look at your dust cover behind your brake rotor.a low pich or a growling noise check your wheel bearing/hub assembly.with wheel off the ground wiggle it side to side and up and down you will have alot of play.or there is something hitting the tire.
