If you have replaced both battery and starter then last thing will be the *alternator.

*An alternator is an electrical generator that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy in the form of alternating current.*

Alternator trouble on a Saturn 2002 **we have replaced it 3 times and still no go = Cannot get output charge from it on the car .But from an autopart test ( on the banch it is ok ????

Check the condition of all terminals on the battery alternator and starter.

There is a fusible link between the starter and alternator, if this is bad then you will not get output from the alternator.

I replaced the altrenator and battery ona 1995 dodge caravan 3.3L V6 ENGINE and drove it 1 time now it wont start it makes a clicking sound wheb i turn the key over what could be the problem

It would be easy to suspect a starter/solenoid problem if not for the history you described. It would be quite a coincidence that this problem is happening after just changing the alternator and battery. I would suspect that the battery is not fully charged. It sounds like there is not enough voltage to operate the starter, but that will be easy enough to determine. I would charge the battery fully and if the vehicle starts, take it to get the alternator output checked at a parts store. If it still won't start and presents the same problem, then check the starter. If the battery is discharged, something has to have caused it. Just because an alternator is "new" doesn't necessarily mean that it's functional. Having the output checked will show how the alternator is performing. Just some thoughts for you to consider. Sorry for your trouble and best wishes.

Remove the starter & inspect the contacts inside the starter solenoid housing. If they are burnt and/or worn, you will get this condition. Replace the contacts and the plunger, or replace the starter. I change contacts in my shop 3-4 times a week. Quite a common failure. The clicking noise is the plunger hitting one contact, but not the other, due to wear.

2002 Chrysler Sebring Sedan: Starter, alternator, both, or otherwise?

Clicking??? Probably starter/alternator. does the starter turn? The clicking, is that all you get when you turn the key? Have the battery checked and make sure its holding a charge. If battery holds a charge, its time to have your alternator tested, if the alternator checks, then the clicking may be the starter/soleniod. Places like autozone will check the battery/alt for free, provided you can still drive to get there.
