Question about 2006 Ford Taurus
I have a 2006 Taurus SEL with 48K, in the past few weeks it has been acting very weird. When you crank the car it is a lil sluggish, and the dashboard gauges (gas and temp) do this clicking thing and after about a min or so go to their position. Also, all the info resets itself, temp will only show 50 degress when it is 100 outside. Avg miles resets and everything else that is one there. After a few mins it will pick up and work normally. The display that shows how many miles till E is never right, I can put $20 in the tank and it shows 30 miles to E and I know that is wrong.....any input from any one would be great!!
If you have a digital dash it could be going bad,you can repalce it with a new on or go to the dealer and they can send it out and have it repaired the other cause can be either a loose connection for your dash or a bad ground.check your battery connections as well as other grounds at the fron of the radiator support there is a bolt with little ground wires remove the bolt clean with sand paper and replace. With out being there this is a little hard to diagnose, good luck.PS has this car ever been hit in the front?

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
