The TCC solenoid is located beneath the transmission side cover and is pretty simple to replace though not that easy because of limited space in which to work. It should be very costly to repair, so be glad you are doing it yourself and saving the money. The first picture below is the TCC, the second one is the TCC and its cover. Let me know how this turns out.

My tach floats while under load 2003 grand prix what would cause this?

sounds like a tcc issue in the transmission. some times it can be fixed with an ecm flash. often it is a bad tcc solenoid inside the trans. valve body.

Code scanner says torque converter circiut stuck on. 1998 Grand Prix

The code scanner is indicating that the TCC or Torque Converter Circuit (Clutch) Solenoid is on all of the time. The TCC solenoid must be replaced to fix this problem which requires taking a pan off and replacing a spaghetti-like wired contraption known to go bad that is a solenoid that controls the TCC.

Tcc solenoid replacement 99 grand Prix 4t65e trans

hang engine, remove cradle from the car, and if youa re crafty, lower the trans end of the drivetrain enought to get the side cover off. BE SURE to replace the EPC solenoid as well. These wear out and hang up. They are next each other. One big (EPC) and the smaller below it (TCC/PWM)

Either the speed sensor, TCC solenoid , ECU or a stuck check ball in a lockup plate. I recommend taking this to a transmission shop this could get fustrating.
