Hi my 01 Deville wont idle when cold unless im keeping my foot on the gas pedal. Once it's warm, it idles fine. Any ideas?

It,s either not getting enough gas or not enough air. Check has and air filters.

Possibly an idle air motor for your idle problem or a vacuum hose off.

Should be on or near the fuel injector supply rail.

Could be a dirty throttle body, or a stuck idle air control valve.
Is the check engine light staying on now ?

Sounds like a sticky throttle if you can't keep idle. It won't hurt to try.... you can try a quick cheap trick by spraying a little carbon remover (buy at any auto store i.e. autozone, oreiley's) inside the throttle, open the valve, spray just small amount, close it back up and rev it a few times and repeat. It removes the carbon film after long use. fixed my idle issue in my cars. If its really bad you might have to clean it thoroughly but i highly doubt you have to do that.

You have a faulty TPS (throttle position sensor). It controls the idling speed for all conditions i.e.cold, warm, AC on It's not uncommon for a TPS to work perfectly under one condition and fail under another for instance, it will idle fine when cold but once it warms up you need a foot on the gas to keep it running. IAC solenoid (Idle Air Control) is not working and remains closed .... air is passing thru the main air intake duct , opened by pedal ... and not by the air bleed conduct (must open while main must be closed .. Pedal Depressed.) Check IAC Solenoid and connectors. Replace if need....
