Fuel pump going out or something else?

There are numerous reasons for a vehicle to stall at random. Is the check engine light on? If so, scanning for codes would be a good place to start. Having a fuel pump pressure test performed will let you know if there is actually a fuel pump/power supply issue causing the stalling

CODE P0300 refers to random/multiple cylinder/s ---misfire detected===causes--spark plug/s---HT lead/s--injectors/s---ignition coil/s---low compression---wiring-
It appears that the ac compressor had a bit of a spit in the fact that it was probably seized either internally or in the bearing behind the pulley. Not using an ac for such a long period of time leads to problems with the seal drying out. The fact that the engine runs good without the ac indicates that the fault is in the ac wiring and system so I would have it checked out by an accredited ac mechanic.

So my car, at random, will randomly lose power. The Tachometer will dip about 500 rpm, and then bounce back. This will slowly increase until the car stalls out, and it happens whether i've popped the...

To start with please do the following:
- Check the spark plug cord's resistance. (8 K Ohms- 25 K Ohms).
- Check spark plug gaps. (0.7 mm - 0.8 mm).
- Check reluctor to pick-up air gap. (0.30 - 0.40 mm).
- Check distributor cap for cracks or water accumulation inside.
- Check ignition timing. (10 - 12 degrees at idle speed).
- Adjust engine idle speed to 650 - 750 rpm.
- Check the valve timing.

Unfortunately, you might have to replace every sensor until the problem goes away. It is a matter of process by elimination. I am in the same position. Good luck

2000 Astro Random Misfire

This sounds like a classic GM plugged catalytic converter symptom. If you like you could remove the oxygen sensor in front of the cat and try driving it. With the sensor removed, the exhaust can escape a little more easily and will drive better if the cat is the problem. If you have the right fitting and a gauge, you could actually measure the back pressure at the oxygen sensor hole. It should not be any higher than about 2 psi at 3000 rpm. I have seen this problem several times now on these vans and I'm almost certain this is your problem.
Hope this helps,
Dave

1993 Ford Escort 1.9L Auto Randomly Stalls

I don't have the solution, but I have the same exact problem on my 1991 Escort 1.9L with auto with 120K miles. I replaced the IAC with no difference. In fact I unplugged it, and still had the random stalling. Also disconnected the EGR vacuum line...still stalled randomly. After it stalls it always starts right back up again. Sometimes it will act as if it's going to stall, but comes back to normal idle. Park or Drive makes no difference. Acceleration and all normal driving is fine. The next thing I was going to try is hooking up a timing light and watch to see if the timing light stops flashing as it's stalling, and/or hooking up a fuel pressure gauge somehow, to the fuel rail, to see if the pressure drops when stalling....to figure out if its ignition or fuel related.
