Sometimes our power locks will lock and unlock repeatedly. Don't know if it's a short or how to find it.
Battery keeps going dead , When ? overnight sitting or while driving ? Why did you change the fuel pump ? What engine is in your expedition ? 4.6 L or the 5.4 L . The power door locks are controlled by a module , central security module . Bad input from a door ajar switch or some other input .Also has a GEM - genaric electronic module . Have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . An don't take it to a auto parts store , they code scanner can not pull body computer codes . Door Locks Go Crazy 1 watch all three videos
's 4.6L. the battery goes dead when it sits but doesn't go dead all the time. We figured it was fuel pump because after we bought it if we stopped and tried to go it would kinda sputter like it wanted to die and if we let off the gas for a sec and then tried to go, it would take off like nothing. Last week I left it running in the driveway and it acted like it ran out of gas and died. My husband tested the pump and it wasn't working.
No it's not the pump you have a parasitic draw on the electrical system . Your vehicle has a number of electronic modules an thing's they control (turn on an off ) sometime this modules don't power down when they are suppose to draining the battery . Here is a video from youtube ,check it out . eric the car guyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF1gijj0... Also check some others ! Not to say anything bad here about your husban ,but i don't know what he knows about doing automotive electrical testing .

The fuel pump is controlled by the PCM , there has to be an input from the crankshaft position sensor (engine cranking or running ) for the pump to work . But i guess the contact's inside the fuel pump relay could be stuck .
