Question about 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
They are secured with 4 bolts unlike the previous models that required keys. You must remove the console trim and ashtray. possibly the a/c/ unit and upper center vent. Just be careful not to damage the fiber optic cable that attatches to the back of the unit.

MB fault codes @ 005 "Engine coolant temperature sensor intermittent connection." It must be some loose connection somewhere. Check the fuses, relays or worse you may have a fried wiring harness, very common with MB's.
