Brake fluid level light on level ok ? porsche 911 996

Is the light limited to brake fluid level? Many times this is also an indicator of worn out pads or need to adjust emergency brake cable...Hope this helps.

Warning sign of high level brake light

Please check your brake fluid and proceed immediately to a repair shop. If you don't know what the light means, you shouldn't mess with it yourself. The brakes are about the most important safety feature on your vehicle. Please call a mechanic.

On my 2008 ford escape, there is a light on my dashboard that keeps coming on. it looks like a box with an exclamation mark in the middle. i dont know what that means. im wondering if i need a tune up or...

Brake warning light.

If the light is on all the time, it could mean you simply forgot to release the parking (emergency) brake. The brake warning light remains on when the brake is set as a reminder. If the brake warning light remains on when the parking brake is released, then something is amiss.
In some cases, the brake warning light may remain on if the switch on the parking brake pedal or lever is misadjusted. Nothing is wrong with the brakes and a simple adjustment should fix the problem.
If the brake warning light comes on when you apply the brakes, or is on continuously, it means that hydraulic pressure has been lost in one side of the brake system or that the fluid level in the master cylinder is dangerously low (due to a leak somewhere in the brake system). In either case, the fluid level in the master cylinder should be checked. Adding brake fluid to the master cylinder reservoir may temporarily solve the problem. But if there's a leak, the new fluid will soon be lost and the warning light will come back on.

Hi there i have got a yellow light come up it looks like ! that thank,s john.

The yellow exclamation mark is a general warning sign - it can mean a few things. 1) Put your handbrake down all the way 2) Your oil pressure is low 3) Low brake fluid 4) Low oil level 5) Airbags gone off? 6) break pad sensors

1982 911 sc brake light on, replaced pressure switch but light still on. mechanic says its not the e-brake switch. then what???

Hello there
The brake light onyou are referring to is the light under you went on dash?
This lite should come on with your hand brake on and off .If it does not go off with the hand brake down it is your hand(emergency)brake switch. It needs to be adjusted .Before you try to adjust the switch i recomend to remove your VDO clock gauge and reach with you left hand inside.
Try to locate the back connector on the light switch and gently pull it off and that reconect, this should fix your problem with the light.
If it comes back try to adjust the hand brake switch which is under the rubber cover at the handle

I have 84 911 and the brake lights sometimes stay stuck on after applying the brakes but not all the time. Any ideas?

be sure that the brake lever is coming up ALL the way. Sometimes even the slightest amount of pressure on the switch will activate the light. Also try a shot of WD-40 on the switch sliding pin.
