Emissions not tested due to not holding a steady rev on a kia pikanto 2012

check your exhaust valv and as for not being able to connect to OBD system, check all of your fuses.

SOURCE: Have 2003 Kia Sorento EX, sat for couple months, then changed batter to pass emission test. Test said not ready due to computer needs to be reset, how far do I have to drive to reset computer?

I think you mean drive cycle not complete.
Generally the van needs to be driven 50-100 miles at both city and highway speeds. The distance needs to start when the engine is at operating temp, and the speed needs to vary including stop and go city. It does not have to be all in one trip but the engine must be warmed up first.

Drive down to the nearest auto spares shop or dealer service centre and have the CPU reset using a code reader.

Two different generations of ecoboost powerplants. Their emissions systems are different. Although you may be able to swap, and it'll run, it may not shift gears or maintain a steady idle as the electronic throttle is tuned to the emissions system. In other words, you would need the ECM and its harness.

You will need to get it scanned and get the codes for the problem. If it failed the test due to emissions I would almost guarantee it will be your oxygen sensor or cat
