SOURCE: How to replace the side marker/position light bulb on the driver side? I can't even get to it because i can't get the light housing off!

The Headlight Assembly is not difficult to remove but you do need to be careful NOT to pull on the Headlight Assembly and break the clips

1. Open the S60's hood and locate the pin that is behind the headlight assembly of the bulb that needs replacement. The pin has a handle on the top. Pull the pin straight out of the headlight assembly.


  • 2. Push on the back of the headlight assembly until it comes out the front of the S60. There is an electrical connection on the back of the assembly; unplug the connection.

  • 3. Press on both clamp on the assembly. The clamps are on either side. Push them in together so that the cover releases.

  • 4 Uncover the bulb by pulling on the small plastic cover that covers each bulb. Push the visible wire aside. Pull the bulb straight out.

  • 5 Push a new bulb in and push the metal wire back over it to secure the bulb in the assembly. Push the covers back on.

  • 6. Reconnect the electrical harness to the assembly and push the assembly back into place. Push the retaining pin all the way back down into place.

    im thinking its a fuse check thqt first then if that dont do it then you might have a blowen tail light or one that's about to go out

    SOURCE: I have a 1990 audi quattro V8, both low lights

    I would check the low beam fuses. Also maybe a bad dimmer switch. Check to see if you have power at the low beam headlight plug.

    does your rear window brake light work (if it has one)? Don't know about S60's. I overlooked mine for a month.

    2006 Volvo XC90 AWD V8 with H7 halogen headlights always displays 'headlight bulb failure' warning even though my headlights are both working fine. How do I fix this?
    Try to check the bulb on the light unit the fault is given,checking the connector,or even renewing the bulb,probably the resistance of the bulb is down in bright but can not noticed.     How do you change the rear side marker lights?
    If you mean replace burned bulbs, find the marker light and locate the wires on the back. Get a good hold on the plug and turn in 45 to 90 degrees and then pull out, replace the bulb and re-install.
