2005 ford kick down not working and engin missing when idel

Check the coil pack and EGR Valve

What engine does it have in it, if its coil pack over single coils per cylinder. Pull plug wire or coil out of last cylinders on passenger side, these are known for getting water in them that causes a miss in acceleration

I seriously doubt it.
The O2 sensors measure the amount of unburned fuel in the exhaust and would not be affected by water if you got them wet.
The spark plug wires and coils would be affected.

Could be a long list of things including dirty injectors or a leaking EGR valve.
The coil could be weak or the distributor cap and rotor may be shorting to ground. Has the fuel filter been replaced ?
You'll have to go down the list and try to eliminate components to narrow down your options.
Does it happen all the time, only when you are accelerating, etc.

When the engine light blinks, ( approx. 2 times per second ), it's warning that the catalytic converter is at risk of severe damage.
You really need to get the vehicle checked very soon

This is due to the fact that it possibly hasn't gone for a check-up in quite a long time. There are only two things that can cause this kind of problem and they are
1. If the battery is low or the kick starter is bad. A very good way to determine if the battery or kick stater is good is to watch out for the sound that the engine produces while you keep trying to start the vehicle. If you notice any kind of slow winding of the engine gears(i.e sluggish sound instead of usual energetic sound). A bad kick starter would lead you to keep trying to start the engine and eventually make the battery to die.
secondly, there might be a problem to your fuel supply. It might not be supplying enough fuel into the combustion chamber (be it carburetor or injector) therefore limiting the supply of available fuel to start up the engine.
The best thing to do is to send it to a mechanic to run a complete diagnosis on the engine to know if there might be any other issues as this is a very old engine and requires delicate care.

The miss does not vanish, the noice gets cammouflagged by the noice of the engine. Check service engine light first, Auto Zone or Advance will do it for free. Then post again with your engine code.

a misfiring engine wont have enough power to sustain a load thats why when you shift it dies.you need to retify the problem first.check for any presence of water in the diesel fuel.Not enough fuel pressure

Sounds like a load miss. Chk plug wires for deterioration and or cross firing. Wires should not cross over each other. Worn plugs load wires causing increase spark out put increasing cross firing potential

It is probably a bad coil, have someone put it on a computer and see what cylinder is missing. The coils go bad all the time on the 5.4's
