Talking about the starter? GM has the solenoid built into the starter, all you have to do is run a wire from the battery to the pushbutton and then to the small terminal on the starter. Also, on the HEI ignition(coil in distributor cap), you can run a wire from the battery to a rocker or toggle switch and then to the end terminal on the coil. Big wire on alternator goes to battery, but the other two I can't remember. One goes to switch and one doesn't matter or can be hooked to the big wire maybe, I think the worst is you cut the switch off but it keeps running. You might need to do something to that choke. Supposed to have power to that wire on the round thing to heat it up and make it open up right, depends on how it runs maybe. Have fun.

Hi
im assuming there are no lights on the dash.
If you remove both battery terminal wire and touch them together (Wires only)
that will reset any fault stored and reset the computer.
hopefully that will correct the fault.
Thanks

MY CAR WONT CRANK ANYMORE 2002 MALIBU

Cutting the yellow wire and installing a toggle switch will not do anything , except make the vehicle not start at all ever again . That is the pass lock sensor signal input to the BCM . You have demonstrated your lack of Knowledge of these systems ,Take it to a qualified repair shop

After installation of clutch, pressure plate and release bearing ,it cant start

What type of car is this? Replacing the parts as listed should not have anything to do with the fact it will not start. During the repair a electrical wire must have been loosened / damaged. Check the connection of the battery terminals to the battery, wire attached to the starter motor and all fuses in the fuse box. Does the headlights come on when being switch on - may be the battery is only flat. Try to push start the car but the dash lights must be on when trying this. If there is not enough power to illuminate the dash board lights - push starting will not start the car.

My 206 radio stolen they cut thr wiring now car don't want to start

When they cut your wires im pretty sure it shorted out and blew some fuses. check all you fuses and make sure that none of your wires are touching inside your dash where your radio was.

VW Passat estate Diesel 2.0 TDI 2007. Car has intermittent electrical Fault after 10 minutes driving on road the dash board power cuts out and engine stops, dash board only has led clock and mileage...

check battery cables make sure they are clean and tight and make sure the alternator charging battery. first check battery volts. should be 12.6 volts. with engine running alternator out put at battery should be 13.5 - 14.5 volts. if not either alternator failed.check alternator power feed wires and voltage regulator wires for damage or make sure electrical wires has tight connection.check alternator battery.first turn off radio before before disconnecting negative battery cable.

My 1989 S-10 pick up digital dash board lights are out. In a recent heavy rain they came on for two days and are out again. What's wrong and how can I fix it?

wow, where to start. check all fuses under dash. try to push all wire connectors under dash together serching for a lose connection. however with them coming on during a hard rain you may have a short. (worst case senario) a wiring harness replacement is within reason. just quite time consuming to install!

Start it up then you can drive maybe ten minutes then it dies or if you turn car off you cannot get it started again it sounds as if it will turn over when starting but it wont it also sounds like it will...

well you could start with the wires because cut wires are never good but it also sounds ike a fuel pump they can heat up and shut off and they have to cool back down befor they start again unless it felt like dieing. when this happens again chck on your fuel rail you will see a valve like on your rim to fill up your tire push in the pin and if it squirts fuel out then your pump stoped working. be carefull and wear safty glasses

I hav a 95 cutlass supreme. when i turn on my head lights the head lights stay on but the dash lights cut in and out and my radio also cuts off and on.sometimes when i use my turn signal my radio cuts off...

you have a loose wire or a short somewhere in the dash. Hopefully you can fix without changing the harness out. I'd try some test to try to isolate the problem. with the engine off, and the lights on and radio on, reach under the dash to where your fuses are located and lightly move the wires coming from the fuse box watching and listening for the short. If you cant locate here, move your hand deeper into the dash again lightly mving the wires behind the radio and then the light swtich. good luck of finding this.

Think i cut the wrong wire it wont start

you cut the wires to the fuel pump go to autozone website and look at the repair manuals and then you will have a choice of wire diagrams that can tell you what color wire goes to what. but if you have the wire sticking out where you cut them put **** connectors on the wires and you should be able to get the pump going again. i would also say you may have blown the fuse for the fuel so if its does not start humming when you turn the key and you should hear something check the fuse.
