Question about 2004 Ford Taurus
Rolled the passenger side window down one night, and couldn't roll it up. Tried the buttons from both sides of the door. It was at night and noticed when I tried to roll it up, the lights on the switch dimmed, but not when trying to roll it down. I heard no noise from the motor. Replace the motor with a brand new one from autozone. We checked it for voltage and it was good (the connection going ot the motor that is). Re-connected the passenger side switch back up (since the driver side would not do anything without it). Same problem. Rolled down, but not up. Don't hear any noise. Think it may be a relay problem? Couldn't find anything in the manual other than a 20amp fuse for the auto-down. Nothing. Can you help? Out $75 for a motor. Pastor at my church, any help appreciated.
It is most likely the switch itself. since the down works that means that there is power going to the switch. So, the up position switch is probably worn out.
