Ok, you will need to check the pressure of the a/c system. It may not be enough freeon, and if thats the case, there is a leak somewhere, You will need to find the leak and repair as nesessary. Whatever freeon is in the system will need to be recovered in a special machine. After the repair, the a/c system will have to be vaccuumed for aprox 30 min. If system holds vacuum, then you can proceed to charge system to factory specs. If there is enough freeon, then your vehicle may have a problem with the heater box itself. Blend door not moving because of a faulty blend door motor/actuator or broken blend door. Or it may even be a heater control head. Go through the first steps and work your way down.

Suburban overheating and air conditioner blowing hot

If you have a viscous fan hub have it replaced as it is not working. The problem you have is that the engine is not driving the fan to draw air through the radiator when idling so the engine overheats . When moving the air flow from driving cools the radiator and so the temp goes back down. If you have electric fans have the codes read to find the fault or check why the electric fans are not working.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

The heater is not blowing hot air

Assuming the engine gets to normal temp. After it's warm, feel the 2 heater hoses going into the firewall,(from under the hood) They should both be very hot, feel about the same. If one is cold or alot colder than the other, the heater core is bad .

The heater in my Passat doesn't blow very hot air -- just warm.

This happened to my Passat, and little by little the air kept getting colder and colder until there was no heat left....I just took it in to get looked at- The heating core is gone- the part itself not that expensive, but since they need to take apart the entire dash to replace, the total job is like $800, $700 of that is labor!

My kia sedona van only heats up for a minute or

Check the metal part of the heater core lines at the firewall if you can get to them and see if one side is noticeable colder than the other. At least one of them should be hot or you have a bad thermostat. If both are hot than your hot/cold actuator inside is having a problem

I have no heat in the cab but the heater core is hot all the vac line work it will blow some what warm air but when you move the temp switch to colder it gets cold

sounds like your blend door is getting stuck or is broken. That controls the hot air or cold air distribution. You have to get under your dash and have someone move the switch and see if you can tell if it's tryng to move or if there are any obstructions...such as stereo wires ect..

A/C air sometimes cold, sometimes not on VW Beetle 2001 Turbo

AC will not work with temps are cold even when it is turned on. The air is colder cause the temp is colder. The AC cycles in hot weather because the AC charge is low and needs recharging. You will know this if you open the hood run the AC and you will hear the clicking sound of the AC compressor magnetic clutch. You can recharge it easily buy buying a compatible can of refrigerant. I suggest buying the kit with the gage so you don't overcharge the system which will cause freeze ups
