Not sure what the codes are. I will check with Ford and get the answer tomorrow. Thanks

  • musictoday Jul 23, 2009

Fuzz: Hi this is Musictoday. The codes that were read last Friday are as follows:
Last Friday the codes they cleared were P2104,P2123,P2126,P2127 & P1576. They said performed "pinpoint DK1 thru DK10 and said May need App Sensor and/or Wire Harness if the codes came back".

This Morning(THURSDAY) I called them and asked them to give me the current codes before continuing.

Hopefully, I will find out if there are any new codes.

Seems that everything is pointing to the throttle sensor except for P1576 which has no definition. Good luck Moe

I have had this same problem since ~ 44K miles. Dealer says need a new trans, bu after i shut the car off, it runs sometimes for months without the wrench light and trans messages popping up. I looked on the ford site and they show a tech bulletin about the sensors being bad as mentioned above. Im waiting for mine to act up again and am taking it in to get this fixed. Obviously Im going to another dealer.

My Ford 2005 Focus clock/radio is possessed.

Check engine light would have nothing to do with this ! Check engine light is for engine codes ! there is a problem with the radio it self ! or SJB - smart junction box , ford's BCM - body control module . You should take it to a qualified repair shop . or ford dealer !

2005 equinox problems

check the air intake ducting for any wear , splits etc also try a fuel addative that covers the cataltic convertor may need the carbon deposits etc cleaning away , follow the instructions , for those that don't like fuel addatives it's the eqivalent of the old fashioned decoke but that is inpractical on a modern engine due to cost and time , just thought i'd give the reason for using a GOOD fuel addative that has been developed for a modern engine , not one that was made in the 60-70's and does more harm than good on a modern engine

2005 chevy impala.. transmission slipping or something. this car has about 193,000 miles on it.. im wondering why its slipping (transmission) and if its even worth fixing...???

First, verify the transmission fluid level is correct - look in the Owner's Manual for info. 2nd get a transmission fluid replacement - do NOT do a 'chemical flush' it could make it even worse....just have them drain out ALL the old fluid and put in new fluid. Shouldn't cost more than $100. If you have any Check Engine Lights or other unusual lights on, get those checked out, too.

Per car is worth about $2500 if you sell it yourself; dealer might give your $1500 but only $500 w/a bad transmission. A rebuilt transmission would likely cost $ NOT fix it. 193K miles is a lot on any car especially an Impala. Time a for another car.

The speedometer in my 2005 mustang stop working what could be wrong... peter

Most of the time when the speedometer stopps the odometer stopps too it it has the transmission may have troble ( if it's automatic as the speedsenser helps the trans shift as the computer shifts the trans too. the check engine light should be on also if it's not and the odometer is still working the problem is in the speedometer itself and the unit can be shipped off though your ford dealer for repair but I woould'nt do that till the speedometer has been removed unplugged and replugged in to see if it's just a bad connection. The speed senser can fail too but you will have these other problems tha I mentioned. The senser is on the side of the transmission nesr the place the drive shaft is connected to the transmission. If the automatic transmission shifts normally and the check engine lightisn't on the senser is likly to be good.

Ford 500 dash lights reverese lights cluster problem.

If you have the receipts it would be good, but Ford knows the VIN# of your car. If this is warranty work with a Bulletin you should try the dealer again. You may have to wait for a Factory rep. but this is just as much a check on the dealer doing the work as you putting in another claim. The NHTSA website may have info on the Ford problem.

Analog gauges drop to ''0'' shortly after start-up & return to norm

There was a write up in The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio back November 2007, which was a month after I purchased my '05 500. You will have to take it back to the Ford dealership (if purchased from Ford) and have them replace for the cluster panel. Since I had just purchased this piece of junk a few weeks earlier, I argued that I should not have to pay for this, and they finally agreed. I have had nothing but headaches from this car since I bought it. Right now, a year after I've had it, the starter has gone out on it, and, of course, my warranty just ran out. I would not recommend that anyone buy a Ford -- EVER!!!
