2007 Lincoln Town Car

On 2007 Lincoln Town Car how to configure the daytime running light on LCM module?
On the same car there is a connector on the same wire harness as the left front crash sensor
the wires are black and purple, any idea what is it for?
On the instrument panel there is a small light between the fuel gage and temperature gages, what is it for?
Any answer will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You very much!

SOURCE: dash instrument panel not working continuously

From 2003-2006 GM installed faulty stepper motors for the instrument panel gauges on a lot of their models. Revised stepper motors are available. Each gauge uses one motor.
Common problem with turn signal malfunction is the 4 way hazard switch.

99% of the time this is due to a defective gas gauge sending unit, this is located in the gas tank.

SOURCE: fuel gage is not working along with odometer

when you pulled the top of the dash off did you check the cable connection to the insturment cluster. i had a similar problem where my gauges died individually including the spedo and tach. slapping the dash usually would cause the gauges to start working again, but that quit also and i had to tear the cluster out and check the conneciton. that fixed the problem.

Bcm

Since the BCM must be checked for function with a special scan tool, and if defective replaced, then the new LCM module must be programmed to your vehicle. I think also the module in this year and model car is called the "LCM" or lighting control module. Same functions different name.

Clicking noise

I believe it is the Lighting Control Module taht is just above the brake pedal. It controls your headlights, tail lights, alarm system, air bag on steering wheel and a host of other things It is $499 new, $250 from tascafordparts.com and much less used on Ebay or at car-part.com (look for page with * for cheapest price.) There are many different modules so be sure to get yours by part number on your module.
It should only click when you activate something it controls, like headlamps. And then it should click just once.
put your head under driver side of dash & see if it's just above brake pedal where the clicking is coming from. Do you have something electrical not working due to the clicking?
