Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
I have an 04 2500 dodge ram. when I drive down the freeway and I hit a bump in the road my front end shakes out of control. it does not stop till i pull over and slow down to about 20mph. i took in to an alignment shop had the tires balanced and replaced the steering stabelizer. it did not help. they are not sure what is wrong. they want to through parts at it but i dont want to waste money. Any ideas.
Yep tie rod ends both control arms and a frame bushings. If you had time and could send some pictures I could be more presise and could give you a detaild ideal on how to test the entire front end, but you do not seem to want a lot of help as this would require me to give you two hours of instruction and testing parts that you are not aware of..

It has nothing to do with any parts on the truck. I have replaced every part on the truck. However try the caster. The factory caster setting is not right. Try adding all negative caster you can add the factory caster setting will have your front tires like a shopping cart causing the front end to shimmy.
