The factory radio, in my Cadillac CTS 2003, comes on, but only has static. No radio channels will play. Any suggestions?

The antenna plugs in to the back of th radio. it could have came loose and fallen out. When you pull the radio and if the anteena is secure in it, then you have lost the receiver in the radio, very rare, Replace the radio at this ppoint.

My radio has a lot of static while driving the car, both with AM and FM. When I turn off the car the reception is perfect. What is wrong?

Sounds like your radio is grounding out on you cars frame. This causing the interference. Also make sure your car's antaina is tight on the outside and not worked lose . Best of luck hope this is your problem.

No sound from radio / now car totally dead

Its you antenna module above your headliner. It controlls your remote for keyless entry as well as your am/fm reception via an amplifier. GM part number is 12233252 for updated and revised version around $100 bucks online.

You will be fine replacing the batt. The only code that you will need is for the radio if it is stock. You do not need to worry about the computer it will be fine. You can get the code here at this site though.

Radio effected by brakes?

If this happens when the car is still you have voltage interference between brake light voltage & antenna. If this happens from motion check all wire connections, loose antenna wire, to antenna.
