Check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve, there should be 13 to 13.5psi to have the injector's work. Make sure the fuel filter has been changed and the other problem that would cause your injectors not working is a bad fuse to the ECM or a bad Ignition control module (ICM) which is about $40,00 and you can pick it up at Auto Zone and they will have the step by step instructions to get the job done with common tools. The ICM is at the base of the Distributor and it's common for them to go bad which would cause a No Start. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help you get your S10 running 100% again.

1994 Chevy p/u, 4.3L v-6 won't start...replaced ignition coil, pickup coil, neutral switch, steering column, & computer(ECM)...Now lost without a clue...please help..!!

You need to determine if you have spark at the plugs. You can buy a spark tester at any parts store to determine if you have spark at the plugs. If you do, I would check for fuel pressure. Do you hear the fuel pump come on when you first turn the ignition switch on?

I have a ford ranger pickup 1991, 4.0 the problem is 1 don't hear the fuel pump when i put on the ignition switch the engine doesn't start. but the stater crank

Take the fuel line off under the hood and have someone turn the ignition on while you hold a can to catch the gas if it comes out. That will tell you if it really is a fuel problem. If no fuel comes out you need to find the wires going to the fuel pump to see if it is and electrical problem or a bad pump.

Check the engine bulkhead main wiring connector in front of the driver on the firewall, see if it is loose or corroded, remove it and reinstall it. This can also be due to the ignition starter switch being defective on the rear of the ignition key cylinder, very common on this model..

Occasionally my 98 chevy P/U won't start. The fuel pump does not run. If I fool around with the Ignition switch I eventually get the fuel pump to run, then it will start and run fine.

The fuel pump only comes on for 2 seconds when the ignition switch is turned on until it starts.I would check the fuel pressure it should be 60-66 psi with key on engine off.Sounds like a weak fuel pump to me you'll know once you check the pressure. If its not within specs replace pump.

I have a 1991 chevy pickup with a 5.7 350 the problem is that it turns over but wont start the the truck has fire no fuel the pump will come on if we run a wire to fuel pump dirrectly to hotwire .i have...

Does or did the check engine light come on? When you had the fuel pump hotwired did it or will it - start the motor and run? If yes to first question then have the codes read. Did you check all fuses and relays for the fuel pump.Check fuel pump pressure once you get the fuel pump working. And if you feal the spark is weak then replace the ignition coil, check distributor cap and rotter replace if nesessary. And there is a little discrepency in your add I do not know if I am dealing with a 91 or a 98 chevy? Good Luck and have a good XMASS.

My 1993 Chevy 350 fuel injected pickup just quit

Check to see if there is any power getting to the fuel pump, if there is 12 volts going to the fuel pump then replace the pump, if there is no voltage present, the problem could be the fuel pump relay, a fuse, or a break in the wiring.

1993 chev 1500 pickup wont turn over as if fuel isn't going thru what should i do

Can you hear the fuel pump? Turn the key to on the pump should come on for 10 sec If not unplug the fuel pump relay and jumper orange to grey the pump should run.Check the oil pressure switch as well. If not replace the pump and wire. If it does run try a different relay. If that still doesn't work you'll have to get a schematic and see if there is power to the ECM. It will be either the ECM or Ignition switch or wiring between them.

Replaced fuel relay - ignition switch, fuel pump too - and no gas comes out fuel rail with key on - fuel inertia switch is reset - what else do I try?

do you hear the fuel pump engage when you turn on the ignition if not look for the fuse that controls the fuelpump relay and make sure its not blown.

1999 Chevy s10 starts and dies imedately.

The wonderful GM passlock has your fuel shut down. Try putting your key in turn it on dont start it wait 10mins and turn off remove key wait 10 seconds repeat this 3 times a total of 30mins. If that dont work try it with a different key. If that dont work your ignition switch needs replaced and only a dealer can reprogram the new keys. Good luck, counting my kids I have 5 Gm products like this and 3 of them have caused the same problem. I have been able to avoid the dealer with the above procedure
