Question about 2002 Honda CR-V
My 2002 Honda CRV makes a knocking noise (coming from the rear passenger side) when driving. It doesn't happen all the time (I didn't hear it at all yesterday, but it is happening everytime I drive today) but it is becoming more frequent and louder. It seems to stop (90% of the time) when I press on the brake.
I have checked for a loose car jack or anything else that might cause a knocking noise and have found nothing. My husband thinks this could be a rear differential or CV join issue. Any ideas?
Inspect the braking system for warped or uneven rotor surface, as this may cause this noise and uneven pad wear. CV joints also could cause this if the boots are torn, have insufficient grease, are damaged,or have worn bearings. Hopefully this helps
