Question about 1998 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

"car jerks/jumps" I've had my car for almost 2 years now. Its a 1994 Plymouth acclaim V6. Recently while I was driving, after only going about 4 miles down the road, after I hit about 45/50 my car jerked pretty hard (felt like it was getting no gas and stalling), then I let off the gas. As I kept going, mainly when i would let off the gas slightly the whole car would **** again. It did this mainly at higher speeds. My mechanic friend test drove it and said he didn't feel anything. A few days later I had to make a trip about 40 mins away. About 25 mins in, the car starting jerking again, mainly on higher speeds. Then after driving it while jerking for almost 10 mins the "Check Engine (CE)" light came on. Its been a few days now and my cars CE light come on either right away or after a few miles. And the car jerks the entire time. It even stalled once. I recently (3 months -1.5 ago) had a few things done to it: New Transmission, New Fuel Pump, New Tires, New Motor Fan, New Belt system along with new belts, New Bi-pass hose for the water (I believe it was)... So if anyone has ANY CLUE to what it might be. Id be VERYYY GREATFULL!

I have checked the air filter, I had it replaced about 4 months ago and it still looks almost brand new. But I did flip it around after it started doing this.

These is because of the improper combustion, so you better check the air filter and the exhaust along with that you replace all the spark plugs

the cap should have the cylinder numbers stamped next to the wire connections showing which wire goes where. the cylinders are as follows on a 3.0l:
