In my opinion I would replace only three ounces in the compressor and the rest about 7 more ounces in the receiver dryer, and that is to keep from hydraulicking the compressor, the oil will move around in the system once it is charged anyway.

What does it mean if I have oil on spark plugs on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder?

It could be a worn valve seal or even worn piston ring allowing oil to enter the combustion chamber from the sump. Check if your exhaust is blowing smoke when engine is warm.

1997 tacoma 2.7 cam sensor problem replaced it but still code p0340 so tryed crank sensor

There may be more than one issue. Here's some possibilities:
1. The new sensor you bought is defective. I have run across this problem a few times. Most notably was a mass air sensor for a Maxima that the first 3 NEW sensors were defective right out of the box.
2.Look for oil in the sensors plug socket and the pigtail connector. If oil is present, spray out both the socket and pigtail with brake cleaner. (Be sure to wear safety glasses when doing this)
3. The timing belt tensioner is losing/has lost the ability to keep tension on the timing belt and it's out of time.
4. There's a break or a sort in the wiring. You'll need a schematic and a mutlmeter to check for continuity.
(Least likely) 5. The computer is failing or has failed.

Where are the oil drain holes located under the valve cover on a 1997 toyota tacoma v6

They are everywhere just clean it all for proper oil flow do both sides also i would do an engine flush if build up is a problem for your situation this could save your engine now.

I have 1997 Toyota tacoma v6 4x4 I replaced clutch drove next day with no problems got in following and now won't engage/ disengage from gears. if turn off I can put in first or reverse but struggles....

Check the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder for proper operation... chances are the slave is bad.. I think this is located on the passenger side of the tranny.. you may have lost fluid during the install.. or introduced air into the system.

If you needed a new clutch.. it was probably time to at least flush that system and or replace the slave cylinder.. also check the spring on the clutch pedal..

I hope you replaced the throw out bearing and pressure plate when replacing the clutch.. I suspect you did.

Best of luck

Oil leak at rear of gearbox it is a new exchange just fitted I also replaced the slip yoke and uni joint and fitted the genuine seal. toyota hilux with w58 5 speed

well, after all that, it should not leak a drop. if the yoke is new, then either the seal is bad/damaged or the bushing has too much play, allowing the yoke to "wobble" and the seal is unable to contain the oil. another thing to verify is that the vent is open and not plugged.
