It sounds like the door panel needs to come off and check the driver side window lift motor.

If neither switch works it is a bad connection at the motor or bad ground or a bad motor. Remove the door panel unplug the motor push the switch and see if there is 12volts on the wires if there is the motor is bad There are small brushes in the motor that go bad tap on the motor while pushing the switch if it works that way replace it

Try to replace the window regulator. Sounds like worn out guide wheels.

SOURCE: Looking for wiring diagram for

You'll need to pull the door panel and check for power and ground at the 2 wire connector located near the window motor (there should be a dark blue wire and a brown wire). With a test light there should be power on one of the two wires at any time. If there is power on both wires with the switch in the up position than the switch is bad. If the only wire powered up in the up position is the dark blue wire than try tapping the motor while holding the switch in the up position. If it starts to work than the motor is bad.

On a side note check for power with all the connectors plugged in. You can also jump the connections at the motor. Supply a ground to the brown wire and supply power to the dark blue wire and the window should go up.

2001 Dodge Grand Caravan driver side window wont go down after replacing switch but the other three windows still work

Probably the window motor, then. You will have to pull off the inner door panel to check that the two wires to the motor are connected good. Test the motor with jumper wires for operation before you pull it off, but if wires are connected, probably a bad motor.

Cabin lights 2001 impala problem shuting off

Hello JJ, the problem areas to check would be:

1. headlight and panel dimmer switch.
2. interior door lamp control module
3. keyless entry module
4. door lock control module
5. door jam switches.
6. wiring problems.

Most of the time, it is the door switch on the drivers side, that is the problem.
I hope this information is helpful.

The driver side window on my 2001 Passat won't roll up.

Pop out the switch on the door that has the issue, more than likely switch has gone bad and needs to be replaced. you will need to check it with a meter to see if power is getting to the switch and also to check when switch is activated if power goes through switch

Power window won't go up on 2004 chevy impala

Start with the basics check the fuses then make sure there is voltage to the switch. Then check to see that the voltage is coming out the other side of the switch when depressed if it is then probably your window motor has gone bad. If no voltage coming out then chances are your power window switch is bad

Drivers side power window does not go up on 2001 Chevy Impala. Anything I can do before replacing the whole switch?

See if you are getting voltage to the window lift motor. (You have to remove the door panel) Unplug the harness at the motor and see if you get positive and a ground while moving the switch at the harness that comes from the switch. If you do, the window motor is bad.

PASSENGER POWER WINDOWS NOT WORKING IN 2001 JEEP CHEROKEE

Hi!

To resolve the issue you are facing with you need to check the following parts—

1. Battery voltage at window switch. If no battery voltage at that switch, check for broken wire between door and body it means the motor of the window has gone bad.

2. If window can be operated by driver switch or individual switch it means window switch has gone bad.

3. If the pin connectors are broken then it means the switch connector of the window has become unserviceable and need replacement. If none of the non-driver switch is working then it is a bad lockout switch.

Please check all the above possibilities and repair/replace whatever is gone bad.
