2008 Toyota Sienna Engine knocking

My engine is knocking is there anything you may know about the 2008 toyota sienna that could help? the dealer says it's normal

    Engine knocking ?? Is it a lite knocking from the upper part of mortor ? Or a heavy knocking from lower end ? Or is is a knocking or pinging sound when you hit the gas ?

Have the same problem on my 2001 Sienna with 184k miles. Knock sensor is the p0330 or p0325 code. Here is a walkthrough of the fix:

2004 Sienna LE. There is a knocking sound in the engine bay on low rpms (sounds like when you upshift too early on a manual tranny). Noise goes away if i give it more gas and only occurs when engine is hot...


they had a recall on alot of the sienna motors they used a bad breack in oil from the factory check and see if your is one call your local toyota dealer

DRL's can be added simply by adding a 20 amp fuse into an empty slot in the fuse box.

YES THERE IS A RECALL, ON VARIABLE VALVE TIMING OIL HOSE,
I BROUGHT MY 08 IN AND THEY REPLACED THE OIL LINE NO MORE NOISE....
