Why my montana sv6 heater has cold air comes out from the air vent?

This is a GM PRODUCT PROBLEM. It is either the heat sensor activator that opens and closes the doors to the cold/hot is normaly located on the end if the airbox just under the dash above the brake pedal...have someone operated the controls and see if you can see it operate..if it is broken it will not operate and faily easy changeout..but if it does and air will not is an internal airbox problem.broken door operating arm..Major labor repairs..good luck..

Air vents activator

The air activator is on the center of the heater box and is a small motor that moves the arms for the heater doors. Look for a small arm that attaches to the door arm. Good Luck

1999 tahoe wont blow air out dash vents

my issue at the moment is that the linkage (control arms) have come apart. it looks like there's a part missing from between the two control arms. there's a small electric motor with one arm and another arm that controls a flap somewhere that shifts the air flow between floor and up top. both of these control arms have a square hole in the ends and i don't see a way for them to be reconnected. so i'm assuming that there's a part missing.

Drivers side vents blowing heat when ac is on

a few things can be wrong but generaly with electronic temp control systems the fault is either the blend door, door motor or temp sensor and caddy usually had split zones... meaning one unit of each per side as mentioned above ie; doors, motor, temp sensor. there is a way to set the climate control system into test mode, it can test itself and tell if it out of range, faulty sensors, also if you can find a friend or a person with a scan tool that can read body codes. one these is your fault or a wire issue is possible. I have 20yrs ford dealer exp.

My 2003 Grand Marquis blows warm to hot air out even if I put it on a/c automatic or vent?

your blend door is not working properly, common on Fords-you can manually close it for cold air, or it can be repaired with an upgraded arm that is stronger and less prone to breakage.

OK, a vacuum controlled blend door is the problem.

Fig. Fig. 1: Plenum door vacuum motors

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose at the motor.
  2. Remove the 2 motor attaching screws.
  3. Rotate the assembly so that the slot in the bracket is parallel to the tee-shaped end of the door crank arm, and pull the motor and bracket off the crank arm.
  4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
--- Search for other vacuum motors under the dash to see if the vacuum hoses have somehow deteriorated or become detached. --- Try to look up your vehicle on for other vacuum motors under the 'heater' section of the 'chassis electrical' section of the 'repair guide' after selecting your 1996 Ford f250 crew cab vehicle.

Dropped my phone in air vent, how can I get it out?

You have to pull out the dash and ac ducts, depending on which vent it went down will depend on how hard it will be to get it out, you could also pop off the vent cover and try to fish it out with a magnet, but thats the only way i can think of, Good luck, Please rate me.

2002 New VW Beetle is only blowing hot air out of vents even when set on cool. I was driving and I made a turn at an intersection and all of a sudden the cool vent air turned to hot air like I had the heat...

Ok, here is the scoop on this. if you sit in the passenger seat and reach under the dash in the center of the vehicle. So your laying in the passenger side of the vehicle and placing your right hand on the floor board were passengers feet would go, slightly to the left of there is where the carpet raises up to the center hump behind the button for emergency flashers. Ok there you will see or feel a plastic small arm attached to a wire rod. this plastic arm is most likely broke or like mine the its worn, so push it back inside the small hole, while turning the heat switch from cold to hot. All this little arm does is open and close the heat vent, but also allows the air conditioner to fully turn on. As you turn the heat switch you will see, or notice it catches the mechanism and the heat will switch on or the air will come on as you turn the switch. I had only a few minutes left to short fix this so I opted to glue the darn thing in place, yes a quick fix but its working and after only looking and poking around I now know what this is so when I have time i can fix it. My own mechanic whom I trusted for years said look its the heater box major repair. I know he doesn't care to work on Vw's its all good but it cost almost nothing to repair this badly designed item. I was ready to sell as is and take the hit but waited one more day when I could find my good flashlight and just refused to believe I had to take off the dash. So dont go to dealer unless you have the time and you point out whats wrong, they also said it was both the air compressor and a cracked heat box? find and locate it yourself I don't have a warranty on this 2002 1602,000 mile car, but I keep it running with good maintenance and all you who are kind enough to keep us all updated on your finds.
