How to replace front rotors 2005 jeep liberty

Hi Wayne, I'm glad to help!

You'll need to support the vehicle on safety stands. Then take off the front wheels, Then take off the calipers that hold your brake pads. Then take off the bracket that the caliper is bolted too. Then remove the rotor. I suggest replacing the pads as well and be sure to clean the rust from where the pads rest on and make sure they slide easy back and forth, this will help in a longer life for the pads. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Wayne.

How to replace front rotor on 2005 pontiac vibe?I have removed caliper and caliper bracket do I need to remove axle nut and if so how?

once the caliper and bracket are removed, the rotors should just come off. These are hat style rotors and just slip over the hub. They do have a tendency to rust on, sometimes hitting them with a hammer between the studs will break them loose. some rotors have threaded holes between teh wheel studs that you can screw a bolt into to break them free.

Cant get the rotor off of a 99 , any suggestions

Remove the brake caliper, and caliper holder if it goes over the rotor. If it's 2 wheel drive, remove the center cap, take out the cotter pin. Remove the nut holding on the rotor. If it's 4 wheel drive, once you remove the associated brake parts, spray some WD-40 around the studs and the center of the rotor, try striking the rotor with a rubber hammer. Often the rotor will rust to the hub, on the 4 wheel drives. The 2 wheel drives, have the rotor with the hub for the bearings together, the 4 wheel drive has a "top hat" type rotor.

How to install front brake rotors for 2004 odyssy?

1. remove 2 bolts holding caliper on (either 12 or 14 mm)
2 remove 2 bolts holding caliper bracket (which holds the brake pads) (17mm)
3. remove the 2 phillips head bolt holding the rotor on
4 remove rotor, if rusted may need to tap it off
5 reverse procedure, when reinstalling caliper, may need to press piston back into caliper to get it to fit over new rotor

2005 gmc 2500 hd needs front rotors at 23,000 miles cause there're rusted out. How do you change?

Its not uncommon for rust to accumulate on rotors. Normally rotors are good for 50,000 miles or more. If they're not warped or severly grooved, the rust won't hurts them.

Trouble removing a 2005 Equinox front Rotor?

if there are no screws visible on the hub of the rotor, its just seized from rust, get some pb blaster and lightly spray around the hub and the lug nut studs, then whack away with a hammer on the hub of the rotor, not the rotor itself unless you plan on replacing the rotor

They should just come off. but may need some hammer to assist. they tend to rust up like most other rotors. nothing special needed.

Brake Rotor Replacement Ford Escort 1997

The rotor is not held on by the big nut, it slides on and off, only the wheel holds it on, the clearance between the rotor and the front hub which the large nut holds on is very small, rust forms and the rotor gets stuck, use a hammer or a large piece of wood if you plan to reuse the rotor and hit it from side to side, spray penetrating oil to loosen the rust, it is a bugger but it will come loose, then make sure to wire brush all the rust off or wheel retention may be compromised.
