Same problem here!!!!!!!!

Yeah it is frozen in there, it put some PB blaster penatrating oil around there and am letting it sit!!

An oil drip maybe 1 qt in a month and it only leaks when car is at idle never when driving or car is off Thanks also want to know if there is a quick fix for gas gage and remove stuck spark plugs

Clean the engine well and look for source of leak, one place is oil pressure sending unit. try Marvel Mystery Oil in fuel tank to help free sticking fuel gauge sending unit. Stuck spark plug is bad if in aluminum head. Spray PB Blaster around plug several times after engine is warm and let sit. I have had cross threaded and corroded plugs take out the threads in the head have had to insert helicoil to repair it. Try removing the plugs when the engine is hot, aluminum expands when hot.

Old 1985 V8 350 engine has locked up can bad gas cause this

if it had been sitting for a long time the rings can seize against piston walls.Try putting PB Blaster in each cylinder and let it sit for a few days.Then try turning it over with a socket on main pulley bolt on the can repeat the process if you need to.

Oil sensor light comes on randomly when rpm's reach 200, even after i replaced the sensor and got oil change...what else could be wrong?

Check the "GROUND WIRE(S)" I would inspect all wires that you or your oil changer may moved during the oil change and senosor change.


Use a de-greager spary to clean out the wiring harness one day before the job,

let the wire harness dry over night.

Next day,have a friend to do the "200 rpm" reving in a outdoor open air area.
Move and inspect wire for "GROUNING" to the metal frame.

Most likely to be near or around the motor mount.

Keep moving the wiring harness until you able to pinpoint the trouble spot.

Since you had a 1987,plastic connector(s) can be worn or no able to make a secure connection.

Use PB Blaster to clean all sensor tab(s) and connector(s).

I will email you a picture of PB Blaster later.

Do you best to check out these connetors.

Won't hold a charge.

I would try checking all the door switches.The door switches is what controls the auto shut off for the radio and lights when the key is out and the doors get opend.The switches could be dirty and not activating.Try spraying a penatrating oil into all the dorr latches and work them back and forth while keep spraying penatrating oil into the latches.I prfer to use PB blaster brand penatrating fluid which will not harm anything else in the door..

How do I get rusted on transmission lines out of the rad in an '86 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham ?

Use a penatrating oil like pb blaster,and use a line wrench to keep from rounding the threads,and when the nut breaks free from the radiator,just move it a little,cause the line is going to be stuck to the nut,work it back and forth,and spray the pb blaster on it until you are able to turn the nut all the way around.

Back hatch door won't open. tried key and remote. There is no latch inside the vehicle so how do I take it apart?

Spray some PB Blaster or a quality rust pentrant into the lock, on the sides of the outside handle and upward on the sides of the handle, dont be shy with the oil. Let sit for 15-30 min, make sure the doors are unlocked, take a rubber mallet and rap on the handle and around the area of the handle at the same time your lifting up and releasing the handle rapidly. Has work on about 4 Monteros, Good Luck

Car door locked seized and can't get door open

Try taking penatrating oil (PB Blaster is my favorite). Squirt a good amount into the lock cylinder and then run the key in and out of the lock cylinder a good many times. Repeat this process a few times and the lock should free up and you should be able to turn the key inside the lock cylinder.

Brake hoses and the pit arm assembly needs changed

the only thing i can see you would have a problem with is the pitmen arm, for that you will need a special tool for that, it can be rented at autozone or someplace like that. Be aware they can be a bear to get off. you might be further ahead to have a shop do that for you, and you can do the lines.
The break hoses are fairly easy if they come loose from the hard line, the thing to do is to get some good penatrating oil lik PB blaster and spray the fittings where the rubber end meats the hard end and let it set for a while so it can penatrate, you will also need line wrenches as to not round off the fittings. its up to you if you want to tackel this project or not. This at least give you an idea what your up agenst.
