- Sorry, not a big car guy. The tilt steering button will allow the steering wheel to extend and retract but it will not lower or raise the steering wheel. IE: I can move the steering wheel towards me and away from me but not lower or raise it.

- Again I go back to the "not a car guy". Sorry, yes it is operated by a electric motor. Thanks for your help and patience.

the motor is most likely defective for the inop function
