So ran fine for 2 days
id bet it didnt have only 1 gallon there.
or did you run it dry again.?
the pump is fuel lubricated and cooled
ran dry invites wrecking a good pump.
Did you fill up the tank or just put a little in? If there's not enough fuel, since it was ran out of gas, it MAY take more than just a gallon or two to get it to run
Doing that now . Will let you know and thank you
is the top of engine, black paint
or silver aluminum with stamped words 16 valves. the 2 engines EFI are totally differet, 8valve is black steel top
we check engine compression on 90s cars
G16s for sure
if all 1/2spec, 80 not over160 psi
the cam belt slipped
if that is ok, checkspark x4
ok but timing is way retarded cam belt slipped.
ok test fuel starts engine each time for 3 seconds run time, (about)
ok test fuel passes
so rail pressure is what, 10psi
30 normal
so fuel filter packed.
if no fuel rail that is A G16a engine,8v with one injector, the filter test port is only pressure test point, 6mm banjo bolt there.
owned both cars, sold when suzuki bugged out
best snow car or offroad car, in 2door form.
all way, to not start.>

The computer controlls the power to the pump.Rplace the computer and all should be well. They r on e-bay for around 100 dollars.Good luck

Hello, It sounds like an engine ignition control module gone out or a coil. They get hot and quit working after a short period of time, cool off then work again till they get hot.
Is the ignition system pointless electronic or does it have points? Are you getting any fire at all now to the cylinders? Does the tach in the vehicle show any RPM's during cranking? Do you have voltage at the positive side of the ignition coil? Does the coil meet the ohm ratings for that years vehicle ignition? Does the vehicle have oil in it so the oil pressure sensor allows the engine to run, this may not be an option on your particular vehicle? You can check most of this out with a volt/ohm meter. Check your voltages before starting the vehicle, during running and after it quits to see where the loss is. Just don't get near the center tap of the coil or you will get a rude awakening and/or serious injury. Good luck, RAC

When your replaced the pump did you replace the fuel filter? You may have a fuel pump relay causing you some grief. I believe it is located in the engine compartment in the fuse center on the left inner fender. Check the relay and any related fuses. Check the electrical connection at the pump. They had problems with some of them and they would get kind of hot and distort and corrode. They have new updated ones that can be easily installed.

you probably have air in the lines, if you have a carb, spray some quick start into the carb and turn it over, if it starts and then dies when the starting fluid has run out, you probably need a fuel pump, since the running of the car should have blown out any air that was in the line, If your car is fuel injected, loosen the bolt cap at the end of the injector line that supplies the fuel,, and tap the key once,, ( don't start it,, ) just turn the key on and off 3 or 4 times, this should blow fuel out of that loose bolt head, if it does your getting fuel, if not, back to the fuel pump, also you can check this link, http://www.aa1car.com/library/us1296.htm
still won't crank ? how's your battery ? starter ? starter solonoid ? if your engine does'nt crank , its dead ! would'nt you check the battery first ? then move on with checking the starter circuit ? seems like your putting the cart before the horse ! first of all, when you run out of gas, you need to replace the FUEL FILTER, your engine just sucked the dirt, garbage, etc., out of the tank. there's plenty of sediment in the tank, don't know how it gets there, but, you'd be surprized ! talking threw experience !!! I operate heavy equipment, its a cardinal sin to run out of fuel !!! you say you replaced the inline filter, which one, up by the engine or the main filter, under vehicle along frame ? are we talking about the same animal, PLEASE CLARIFY !
