Timing chain

You need to replace the timing chain guides/tensioners. 200-2003 crown vics are prone to that problem. 2004 and up are all okay (with new modified design.)

How much should it cost to get a timing chain replaced?

Hello jamieford: My name is Roger and I will help. THe cost will depend on where you live and what the labor rate for the shop you use. The time allowance is 6.0 hrs. multiply the labor rate buy this, The parts for this job is 662.00. This includes all chains, gears, guides, tensioners and tensioner arm and timing cover set. This is not a easy job as you must have the tool set in order to set the camshaft timing correctly. I hope this is helpful. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
