I need to know where the fuse is for the driver side brake and blinker light is for the back of the car I bought a brand new bulb and it lights up but when u hit the brake it doesn't work

  • Frankie B Jan 25, 2017

Also, to properly know what your problem is, I need more answers, like, does the turn signal blink on the passenger side or the brake lights come on when you step on the brake. Is your turn signal binking faster on the driver's side than it is in the passenger side. Are the signal lights on the front blinking or is the left front also not blinking?

If the light is on, that's an indication that you have power to the bulb, which probably would not be a fuse issue. Check you brake light switch behind the brake pedal.

SOURCE: No brakelights or taillights

Yop may have a very common problem unique to that year car.
I have two definite fixes for you:
Open the trunk. Look at the wiring harness that is hooked onto the driver side arm that holds the trunk lid to the body. Untape the wiring harness from the edge of the trunk lid back towards the driver rear seat. You are most likely going to find a broken wire or two, prob a green with a red tracer. The repeated action of lifting/closing the trunklid seems to break the brake/tail power wires. If the wiring harness is perfect, no breaks, AND you have a rear spoiler, remove the trunk interior trim that faces the driver side 1/4 panel. Hidden behind a brace will be a small box. This is the brake lamp sensor. If it has failed, you may need to replace this box. Either fix should resolve your issue.

SOURCE: blinkers

If you can turn the blinker on left or right and the light comes on but doesn't blink......Open the drivers door, there is a fuse box, On the side of the dash.. The relay willl be a small silver canister looking relay in with the fuses.. put your finger on it and turn the blinker on.. you should feel and hear a click...( With the key in the on position ).. That is what needed replaced if it doesn't keep clicking...Thats the turn signal relay... What makes it blink.......Hope this helps..
Please rate this solution if it helps... Thank You.....

Tail lights work but not brake lights 93 toyota camry

The brake light side of the bulbs is powered by the brake switch and travels thru the turn signal switch.
If the third brake light works, I would guess the problem is in the turn signal switch.

Drivers side tail light lighting up at night when head lights are on but break light not working on that side. passenger side not lighting up when head lights are on but break light working on that side....

You probably already know this, however the GMC 2002 Yukon Denali uses the Wagner 3157 (or equivalent) dual element bulb. The running light uses one element whereas the brake & blinker share the other element that burns brighter.

Check to ensure the correct bulbs are being used. Then check all wire harness connections. Since the blinkers function, then it sounds like the connections are good.

It really sounds like there is a bulb issue, so check that first, then let us know the results.

hi it sounds like you have blown light bulbs and or blown fuse. there is a fuse for the blinkers and your brake lights in your fuse pannel.

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.
