Keep putting in fuel pumps on 2007 buick rendevous and they work for a day or so and they fail? Could it be something other than the fuel pump?

There is no reset switch, you likely have a bad fuel pump, try this use a 2x4 or soft hammer to rap on the fuel tank as someone turns the switch on and off when you hear the pump hum the car will start and run but change the pump immediately. Almost every other problem that occurs in the fuel system will cause the check engine light to come on and it will set a readable code. I hope this helps. Take care.

GM Fuel Pump Relay Testing Watch this video ,all GM vehicles work the same way . Turn the key on ,the PCM will energize the fuel pump relay turning the fuel pump on for two seconds to prime the fuel system.

Anti-theft problem ? Security light lit on the instrument cluster ? Have check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . The PCM - engine computer disables the fuel injectors .

Could be bad fuel pump or the connections. A fuel pump relay that translates the ECU (brain) to when fuel is needed from the pump. The ECU receives many sensor inputs to decide how much fuel to deliver. The sensors are bad or their connections
are corroded. My experience is that connections cleaned and scraped to bright metal bring them back to new conditions. This may also be the Fuel pump connection situation even though, the fuel pump is new? Have the ECU error codes read at your favorite auto parts store. That may help diagnose an better than my guesses. By the way we are all volunteers, so please give us a chance to respond.

5 volts doesn't sound right, check the wiring for corroded joints or connector plugs-sockets.

make sure the cooling fans are working

Could be a failing fuel pump. GM vehicles are notorious for failing fuel pumps, starters, and alternators. Was the car running hot when it stalled? I would bet on the fuel pump on its last leg, and the extra heat may have made it stop.

could be alot of things but most normally it sounds as if the fuel pump may not be working correctly. whens the last time you had or changed the fuel filter could be dirty. have the fuel pressure checked. have you looked at your air filter? this is where i would start with the diagnosis

It is in the fuel tank, according to the documentation. It gets replaced with a fuel pump failure.

Hi, your fuel pump is fine, its the sending unit(module). its located inside the fuel tank. its part of the fuel pump assembly and, you will need to replace this device. Its malfunctioning at this time.
